Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay born September 15, 1915, was raised in Ogden Utah. Fawn MCKAY, brought up in the Mormon Church's First Family, used her literary talent and expertise in research to write the intriguing biographical psycho-historical study of Joseph Smith. Published in 1945, under the name"No Man knows My History, she used both. The title was in response to a funeral address delivered in 1844 by Church of Latter-Day Saints founder Joseph Smith. In that sermon he declared: "You do not know who I am and have not seen my soul." My past is not known to anyone. In reality, I don't know. Wrote the 29-year old Fawn in the moment when he spoke, more than three writers have picked up the battle. A lot of them have denigrated him and while others have glorified him. Some have attempted to make a clinical diagnosis it is not the fact that these documents lack information, it is rather that they are fiercely contradictory. The task is to sort out the firsthand evidence from the third-party fraud and then blending Mormon and non-Mormon narratives into a coherent history. It is both interesting and instructive.
